June 27, 2008. The Florida Bar Association released a poll ranking the county and circuit judges of the 8th Judicial Circuit. Local attorneys were asked a series of questions pertaining the approval/disapproval of the above judges. The website is 8jcba.org.
As predicted, Judge Stanley H. Griffis III finished with the absolute worst approval ranking of any of the other judges. Almost half of the attorneys polled did not approve of Judge Griffis' legal acumen, communication skills, or professionalism. The most glaring disapproval rating referred to Judge Griffis' ability to conduct himself impartially.
Please take the time to review Judge Griffis' score sheet and then compare it to all of the other more competent judges. Even his colleagues believe he demonstrates unprofessional and biased behavior.

Local family psychologists have also warned parents about filing while Judge Griffis is on the bench...he does not care about the best interest of the children...other parents and other judges are worried about his decisions!

I'm sure most of the comments here are women as I know that Judge Griffis is a strong supporter of father's rights and is extremely fair. I know MANY people who have been helped by this guy and I hope he continues on as a judge for many years to come.

I have also went in front of this judge and been mistreated and spoken to very unprofessionally. My ex hisband was awarded 50/50 custody when we had a court appt therapist asking for him to have supervised visits only. It was unbelievable they way he spoke to me and acted in court.
Mr Griffis(I refuse to call him "judge") is still up to his usual antics. He blatantly rules in favor of the man and refuses to listen to any arguments that may be presented. He returns children to a father who has been charged with domestic violence many times. I honestly think he would return them if the father committed murder. At every turn he rules against the mother. Attorneys have refused to help the mother because they will have to go up against Mr Griffis and his brand of justice.Fair and unbiased are not words that would ever be used accurately to describe this man. Can't he be voted out of office or removed from the bench? Something really should be done. The entire legal community knows about this man and his crooked ways but nothing is done.I just don't get it
Judge Stanley h. Griffis is a total failure as a judge. This judge needs to step down.
